Made Ready / Engineering better experiences

Your challenge.
More ways to solve it.

Many of our products begin as an end user’s problem—and find a lasting home under the Made Ready banner. We bring product design, materials, tooling, manufacturing, and automation together to work through the solution.

Solution features

A few problems.
Many ways to solve them.

Three examples from a broader body of work. Each starts with a practical need and brings the right disciplines together.

ICON casino chips with embedded RFID technology

01 / Gaming currency · ICON Poker · Exited 2026

A lot goes into a little casino chip.

The problem: Deliver a 10 gram token with the required weight, durability, decoration, and embedded technology.

The solution: Develop the token and its complete manufacturing system together—from custom materials and tooling to wrapped imagery, robotics, vision inspection, and RFID.

  • Custom material design coupled with mechanical engineering.
  • Injection molding, tooling design, and refinement.
  • Wrapped imagery embedded in the material surface.
  • Art templates, printing and decorating workflows, and custom laser die cutting machinery.
  • Robotics, custom automation machinery, vision, and automated inspection.
  • Embedded RFID and associated manufacturing methods.

02 / Human workflow · Litigen

Tools, not tech. Control where it matters.

The problem: Give lawyers front-line control, even when they have little or no tolerance for technology getting in the way.

The solution: Simple barcoded access puts evidence at the lawyer’s fingertips, while more sophisticated preparation and management tools serve the support team. Each person gets the control their work requires.

See the connected disciplines
  • Human-centered design for front-line users with little or no tech tolerance.
  • Simple barcoded access that gives lawyers direct control of evidence.
  • Software and workflow design with deeper tools for support teams.
  • Document indexing, video, and presentation connected from preparation to use.
  • The same priority as tool-less installation: reduce the effort around the task.

03 / End-user problem · Tray liners

Make the installation part of the design.

The problem: An end user brought us an installation that was clumsy, heavy, labor-intensive, and visually untidy.

The solution: A rigid polymer liner that ships flat, folds into shape, and locks into the basket with integral tabs. Tool-less installation, with a cleaner finished result.

  • Part geometry designed around the basket and the installation.
  • Preformed hinges that let sidewall liners ship flat and fold on site.
  • Integral locking tabs for tool-less installation.

Engineering better experiences

An end user’s problem.
A Made Ready product.

An end user brings us a problem: an installation that takes too much effort, a part that could work better, or a need existing products don’t meet. That practical requirement starts the design process.

We work through the material, geometry, tooling, and production process together. When the solution answers a broader need, it can find life under the Made Ready banner as a standard product.

We start with what the product needs to do, then choose the processes that make sense for its use and production.

Multidisciplinary problem solving

Disciplines we bring together.

We combine capabilities around the problem, considering design, human workflow, manufacturing, and delivery together.

Product Development

Define the problem, explore concepts, prototype, test, refine, and carry the solution into production.

Plastics

Material development, injection molding, blow molding, forming, machining, rapid prototyping, and decorating.

Metals & Mechanical Systems

Metal selection, sheet metal forming and fabrication, machining, mechanisms, assemblies, and tooling—drawing on manufacturing partners where appropriate.

Automation & Production Systems

Robotics, custom machinery, fixtures, vision, inspection, and integrated manufacturing processes.

Human Workflow & Software

Software, intuitive controls, barcode access, and one-touch workflows designed around the people doing the work.

Manufacturing Network & Logistics

Global manufacturing partners, sourcing, production coordination, and delivery.

One-touch thinking connects the work: fewer steps, less friction, better results.

What shapes our work

Practical by intention.

01 / PEOPLE

Consider the person
doing the work.

Installation, removal, handling, and repeat use deserve the same attention as a product’s form.

02 / PERSPECTIVE

Bring disciplines
together.

The useful answer may involve a different material, a simpler assembly, or a better production method.

03 / EXECUTION

Connect the design
to how it gets made.

Work with the appropriate manufacturing resources and partners to move from requirements toward production.

Rapid time to solution

The deadline is
part of the design.

Timelines create constraints that help guide design. We consider the time available alongside function, materials, tooling, and production to find a simple, effective path.

In practice / Electronics supplier

Parts in weeks.
Still working years later.

A large electronics supplier needed parts in hand within a few weeks. Its legacy suppliers were quoting several months.

The timeline focused our design decisions. We developed a simple, effective solution and delivered within the required window. Years later, that solution was still in place.
